Gov't announces revised plan for Sejong City

Jan. 11, SEOUL, South Korea -- Prime Minister Chung Un-chan announces the government's revised development plan of Sejong City in central South Korea to turn the new city into a business and science hub in a press conference in Seoul on Jan. 11. Four South Korean conglomerates, including Samsung Group, are set to invest 4.38 trillion won (US$3.87 billion) to set up manufacturing and research facilities in the proposed city, according to the plan.
